Using positive and interactive instructional methods, combined with practical hands-on components our instructors will focus on the practical knowledge and skills required to handle the most common medical emergencies in a Naturopathic office setting.
This course taught by instructors with extensive emergency experience is an alternative to the Advanced Cardiac Life Support and has been specifically tailored to the needs of those in a naturopathic medical practice. Delivered in a low stress and engaging format participates will have an increased confidence in their ability to manage common office emergencies. This program meets the requirement for emergency medical training set by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC for those registrants performing advanced therapies. The learner will receive a Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support and a NCLS completion card which is valid for 2 years from the date of the course.
Registration: Please contact Iridia Medical or OHM Medical to register for one of our 2015 courses! Schedule: NCLS courses run approximately one Sunday a month Prerequisite: BLS-HCP Provider
Exam: Participants must successfully pass the BLS-HCP written exam and skills test.
Prereading: Please allow sufficient time to review the BLS-HCP Manual and the pre-course package.
Manuals: The Heart and Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support (BLS) manual is mandatory for this course. This manual is not included in the registration fee. Completion: It is the responsibility of each ND to promptly notify CNPBC upon completion of your NCLS;course using the CE form found on the CNPBC site http://www.cnpbc.bc.ca/public/standards-of-practice/
