Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) participants will learn techniques for assessing the child at risk, as well as the resuscitation skills required to manage these patients.

The workshop includes sessions relating to newborn resuscitation, respiratory failure, shock and cardiac rhythm disturbances, and case based scenarios for the application and integration of knowledge and skills. This workshop is designed for registered healthcare professionals. 



Exam: The PALS exam is a closed book exam and participants must achieve 84% or better in order to pass.

Prereading: Please allow at least eight (8) hours to review the prereading, it is a fundamental part of preparing for the course. PDFs are available for download.

Manuals: The 2010 Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Manual and Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care are mandatory for this course.

POLICIES

 

Withdrawals

  • If notice of withdrawal is given more than 14 days prior to the start of the class, the participant will receive a full refund minus a 25% administration fee.
  • If notice of withdrawal is given less than 14 days prior to the start of the class, the entire tuition or training fee will be non-refundable.

Transfers

  • If notice of transfer is given more than 30 days prior to the start of the class, transfer fees will not be charged.
  • If notice of transfer is given less than 30 days prior to the start of the class, a transfer fee of 15% of the total fees will be applicable.
  • We will not accept any transfer requests less than 14 days prior to the start of the class.
  • Transfer fees are applicable for each transfer.

Manuals

  • All book sales are final.

Participant requests for transfers, withdrawal, or refunds must be made in writing to Iridia Medical prior to the start of the program. Written notification may be sent via fax or e-mail.

Iridia Medical reserves the right to cancel a workshop and refund registration fees due to insufficient registration or other circumstances beyond our control. It's rare, but when it happens our goal is to provide participants two weeks' notice of cancellation.
