LIFEPAK CR Plus Automated External Defibrillator The LIFEPAK CR Plus Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is designed for safe and easy use by a lay rescuer at the scene of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) emergency.
LIFEPAK CR Plus Automated External Defibrillator

Physio-Control created the LIFEPAK CR Plus Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the minimally trained rescuer. The LIFEPAK CR Plus AED can be used in any setting, whether it is in a public place or at home. The clear, calm voice prompts guide the rescuer one step at a time. The semi-automatic CR Plus requires just three steps to give a potentially lifesaving defibrillation shock, while the fully automatic CR Plus requires just two steps. The LIFEPAK CR Plus is easy to maintain with synchronized replacement for the battery and electrodes. Weekly and monthly self-tests plus the visible readiness display with four clear indicators let you know the AED is ready to do its job. The LIFEPAK CR Plus has an industry leading 8 year warranty.

  • Fully automatic and semi-automatic configurations are available.

  • Escalates in energy to 360 Joules.

  • The LIFEPAK CR Plus is from the same family of AEDs found on all BC Ambulances and at many fire departments throughout British Columbia.

  • The electrodes on the CR Plus are fully compatible with all other LIFEPAK defibrillators and monitors. The device communicates clear, calm step-by-step instructions.

  • Synchronized replacement for the battery and electrodes.

  • Performs weekly and monthly self-tests.

  • Industry leading 8 year warranty.

  • The fully automatic configuration was designed to help responders who may hesitate to push the shock button during a rescue attempt.

  • Over half of all patients require multiple shocks in order to be defibrillated. Increasing the energy level increases the probability of subsequent shocks being effective. The LIFEPAK CR Plus follows the hospital-level protocols for energy shock levels: the first shock is at 200 Joules, the second shock is at 300 Joules and the third shock is at 360 Joules. Any additional shocks will be delivered at 360 Joules.

  • Having compatible electrodes with other LIFEPAK defibrillators and monitors means a faster transfer to EMS and more time spent on lifesaving than setting up equipment.

  • The voice prompts help the rescuer through a very stressful situation and lets them know without question when a person is about to be shocked.

  • Having the battery and electrodes expire on the same date provides the user with a simple, low cost maintenance program.

  • The device self-tests assure it will be ready to use in a rescue situation.

  • 8 year warranty covers parts and servicing. Servicing for the unit is handled by two licensed Physio-Control Service Technicians in Vancouver, BC.
